The An-Institut FIuid and Pump Technology at the University of applied sciences Merseburg (FH) is a technology transfer institution in the fields of pump technology, compressor technology, measurement and diagnostic. The areas of work and development priorities are: development and construction of regenerative machines and peripheral pumps, development and construction of high speed midget compressors and pumps as well as vacuum pumps, device development for breathing technology, measurement systems for unsteady gas pressure vibrations, modern measurement processing of pressure, temperature, speed, volume flow, gas pressure vibrations, vibration measurement of vibration velocity and vibration acceleration of machines and instruments, sound measurement and reduction of airflow sounds, determination of cavitation and acoustic cavitation detection, development of diagnostic systems and vibration diagnostic.
