The institute has a long academic tradition in the field of material sciences with special competence in the field of measuring linear and non-linear of flexible, dielectric and electromechanical dimensions subject to time, temperature, frequency as well as superimposed electrical and mechanical fields.

The institute expects from the collaboration in the network that the research results will be implemented much faster than in the past into industrial products. Also, the institute desires that the network partner’s need in novel piezo materials as well as in substances for ultrasonic system and measurement leads to new and interesting research topics.
