O.-v.-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg Institut für Mikro- und Sensorsysteme

The chair Measurement Technology/Sensors together with the chairs Micro System Technology and Semiconductor Technology form the Institute for Micro and Sensor Systems (IMOS), found in January 2000. The main areas of research of the institute are e.g. ultrasonic sensors for fluidic systems, modelling of ultrasonic transducer, resonant sensors including specifically sensitive layers and sensor electronics, manufacturing of piezoelectric layers as well as methods of packaging and micro system technology.

Sensor tests, measuring of the sound fields, modelling and manufacturing of sensor and micro systems as well as advices regarding the use of sensors and interface electronics are offered to the partners in the network. The institute expects from the participation in the network acceleration and expansion of the technology transfer to companies in the region.
