The company, founded in 2001, is established at the interface between research and practice. It has a close interdisciplinary cooperation in the fields of chemicals, physics and the Zentrum für Ingenieurwissenschaften (Centre of Engineering) of the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Core competence of the company is synthesis, modification and characterization of new polymeric materials as well as testing for generating and processing industry of plastic. In addition to the accredited testing laboratory for mechanical testing of plastics and technical fracture mechanics, the company also operates a laboratory for non-destructive plastic testing, ultrasonic diagnostic and laser extensometers. In a joint project with SONOTECH GmbH, the company recently has dealt with the information of interface phenomena by the expansion of acoustic waves in GfK thermoplast composites.

In addition to the specific knowledge and the know how of the company, its methodical experiences gained in the development of novel test procedure has a high value for the network partners.

The company itself primarily expects from the participation on NetUs a development boost for the coupling of several testing methods and in data collection and data evaluation.
